I know black and white girls who act just like that! It was funny though. I really liked what the guy said at the end of the video, when he said that there are allot of good black women, I'm glad that he made that point. Because allot of men really think that all black women act like that (what was portrayed in the video), and we don't. We are not all the same! And it made me smile when he made sure he got that point across to everyone.

    Re: Funny Video about Stereotypes

I cannot say that I know any black women who act like this. I am not saying that they do not exist. I have, only, seen them on television or in the movies. The guy was funny as all get out! His portrayal of black women reminds me of the Tyler Perry movies.
An associate of mine came over for dinner and brought the movie, "Madea's Big Happy Family." I was extremely disturbed! Not one decent black woman (character) in it. Why do we want to tell these stories?! From the woman who, totally, esmasculates her husband (not to mention her out of control kids) to the "baby's mama" who is, evidently, off her meds (Byyyy...ronnnnnnn!) to the girlfriend who is pushing her boyfriend to sell drugs because she wants to be a kept woman. [not going to go into the ever-sacrificing and selfless mother or the madea character...] WTF!!!!! This is not my reality as a black woman, and I resent putting it out there like it belongs to all of us!!!!!

I give Tyler his props for his success. He did what he had to do to climb the "chitlin' circuit." Now, he is the world's stage where his audience is no longer majority black. I am not suggesting that Tyler needs to abandon who he is, but he has got to do better with the stories that he is telling. Although it is not his intent, he IS perpetuating stereotypes in his storylines. I, for one, did not have a grandmother who packed a pistol, smoked weed and did not know who the fathered her child. Do not get me wrong, I am not, totally, in Spike Lee's camp. I liked Tyler's, "Why Did I Get Married" movies. I even liked his plays (DVDs). However, it is my opinion that when Tyler began to go deeper into his storyline (turn the play into a movie), it began to fall apart.
